Communities can now decide to cover payment processing fees on behalf of their applicants. From the Payments settings tile, toggle either option for Credit Card and e-Check.

When covering the transaction fees, the community will receive less than the total fee amount. For example, if an applicant pays a Permit Fee of $100 and the transaction fee is $3.98, the community will receive a deposit for $96.02. The Ledger accounts for this by inserting adjustments – negative or positive – in the amount of any transaction fees paid or recouped.
