You can add a new record step by clicking the "Add New" button on the right side of the timeline.   System and record type admins have the ability to do this.  Please note: Steps that are manually added to a workflow immediately become Active.  Thus, we recommend only adding steps when you are fully ready for them to be Active--This especially pertains to adding a new document step since doing so means you are issuing a new permit.
